How to prevent HH from messing up with my resume format?

Hi fellow monkeys,

Currently interviewing for PE in Europe and I noticed something that annoys me: recruiters / headhunters reformat my resume before sending it to their clients.

Let me explain. It is not even like they anonymize it by removing / hiding my contact details, no they reformat it.

Where I do not understand is that I always send them a PDF and never a Word version. I highly doubt that they retype it or copy / paste every line so I wonder – do they use a PDF to text tool or something?

I like to be well prepared and nothing annoys me more than seing my resume now on 2 pages with a stupid font.

Any way to prevent them from doing that? Any protection that I could apply to the file?

Thanks
