How To Respond To Your Bonus

What do you say or what reaction is appropriate when receiving your bonus to voice discontent?

I think there are two situations here.

1) You are upset with your bonus and want to communicate immediately that it was well below your expectations, and you are likely quitting
2) The bonus was in line or generous but you don't want to communicate that you are ecstatic and they paid you too much.

Just say thank you with a straight face for either situation. You gain nothing by letting them know you are upset or happy with the amount. If you are going to quit than wait for the check to clear before doing so.
