How to use IB to prepare for PE after you have your offer?

Hey guys, 1st year analyst at an EB here. Received a PE offer at a large MM fund last month (backstory: didn't want to do on-cycle or MF, wanted to be at this fund specifically, and had already been networking with them for a year at this point and were willing to give me an early interview). Anyways, now that I have the offer, I wondered if anyone had advice on how to use my work in IB to help prepare during the next two years? I obviously understand that they're different jobs and the actual work of an analyst is pretty mundane, but I was thinking I could do things like develop an investment thesis for every transaction I'm on, continue to work on modeling, do things (in the background) like come up with a market size, etc. of course I don't have a ton of time, but I was just thinking these are things I can even just keep in the back of my head while I'm working. Any advice is appreciated.
