How to value a company that is not listed on the stock exchange
Hello people,
First, pls, how do you know whether or not a company is listed or unlisted?
Also, how do you carry out valuation for an unlisted company? Basically , the scenario is that I have a private equity client who wants me to value some mining companies for them. They need 3 of these companies to be listed, and the other 3 to be unlisted. I am not sure how to quickly know whether or not a company is listed. And second, how do I do valuation for unlisted companies? e.g. dividend growth model valuation?
transaction comps, public comps (w/ liquidity discount), DCF w/ beta taken from comparables unlevered and then relevered to target capital structure
