How to Verify a Firm is Legit/Real? Securities Lending Gig
Hi WSO, this is my first post here.
I didn't go to school to finance, nor am I in the industry, so excuse my ignorance about how to audit a firm's legitimacy.
So basically, there's this firm called America2030 (can't post links as a new account but its the first result on Google) that does stock loans. I found a job ad claiming they pay nice commissions for these loans, and it's an independent contractor gig. I'd like to try it, however, I have no idea how to verify the legitimacy of the firm. They claim to be an investment bank that does business with all the major banks, all types of hedge funds and the like, I just don't know how to verify such a claim.
Can anyone help me out in one of two ways?
1. Based on your expertise in the industry, verify if the firm is legit
2. Tell me how to verify a firm's legitimacy
I've done some research on them but not much has come up. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, and thank you for your valuable time!
da
that website. run. far. away.
Yeah that's what made me so cautious haha.
However, this industry has made me extremely interested in securities lending. Is this a position I can get with no formal finance industry experience, but sales experience? Thanks.
