How useful is L(L?)MM (£5-25m value mostly) experience as a stepping stone to a true MM firms?

Hi guys

Currently trying to see if i can transition to Corporate Finance / Corp. Dev from Strategic Finance position in Corporate.

My main concern is that 2 people who have been in this role previously have both left after 6 month albeit to senior manager / associate positions in top10 accountancy firm / MM IB.

happy to PM name to certified users if it helps

Many thanks for any advice.
