How will our lives be different in 1 year due to Coronavirus?
The title is pretty self-explanatory... one year from now, once the Coronavirus is (hopefully) behind us, how will our daily lives be different?

Hopefully, people will start to wash their hands more often
You'd like to think so, but if you read the story about a group of retards who caught the coronavirus after hosting a "coronavirus party," you'd realize that's not going to happen lol
I honestly hope the one main takeaway from this will be that people improve their hygiene standards (e.g. washing hands more and for longer, not sneezing/coughing without covering their mouth at face height and not always touching their fucking faces with filthy hands)
People will wear masks just like in Asia when sick, understanding that whilst it sucks to be sick, you actually are spreading shit too.
Yeah, I think there could be a permanent change in people's mindset about what's appropriate for sick people. Before this there was a sense that people who "power through" and keep working while sick were kind of admirable. In the future, people may see them as selfish, since they could infect others.
You can still power through but just wear a mask and don't infect me that's all I'm asking for, if you power through and infect me I see it as a net negative compared to you WFH and being 20% less efficient.
I don't think anyone can make an accurate prediction of how's it going to be in 1 month, let alone 1 year.
i just wanna have a drink tbh
amen
i got so fucking smashed last night i woke up at 3pm wbu
I think the most significant way our lives will be different would be related to the economic devastation we will experience. Estimates for unemployment range from 10% to 30%. I originally thought the number would be about 15% which is more than we saw during the great recession and less than in the great depression. Just like GS, I am going to revise my estimate higher to about 25% and this does not include people working fewer hours. If we include people who are working fewer hours, the number might be 50%. The government will have to spend a substantial amount of money bailing out industries and individuals. I am not sure how a government goes bankrupt this is one way to do it.
I am sure lots of people who lose jobs will never get them back. I think this pandemic is going to have a substantial effect on programs like social security. The age of eligibility will likely rise or perhaps the whole program in its current form will be overhauled.
Again, aside from economic and people’s financial positions, nothing.
People forget how quickly America moves on from certain things. People will remain cautious for 1-3 months after lockdowns are lifted and then after that, nothing.
And if second or third waves were to hit, they’d be wholly unprepared and looting the TP aisles each subsequent time. Because America.
