How Would You Describe Banking: Finance with a lot of accounting, or accounting with a lot of finance?

Basically the title. Is investment banking mostly finance with a lot of accounting mixed into it or is it accounting with a lot of finance concepts mixed into it? I know banking is considered
"finance" but it seems like a lot of people here think that accounting is a better background to have for finance, which is why I'm curious. I did a search and the answers are generally a mixed bag, so I am hoping we can maybe settle this once and for all (doubtful)?

Thanks

there is no clear answer between them, because accounting is the quantitative representation of the business, while finance has more to do with the capital markets and financial products. even though finance covers a much broader area of finance such as portfolio management, from an ibanking perspective accounting is used to determine how financial products fit into a company's capital structure.
