How would you spend a gap year before college?

I'm an incoming college freshman in the US that chose to defer my admission for one year due to a unique work opportunity. I'll start at a target in Fall 2021. How would you spend a gap year between high school and college?

Drinking heavily

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

i would teach english in a foreign country for 6 months to a year...the work is easy...not very long hours...the money is good...you get to travel around...meet people from all over. maybe even do this for 6 months in one country..and then 6 months in another. china and japan are great options for this....also south america or europe...its a great way to spend time in a foreign country for free and get a different experience than most other people will ever have
