HR messed up my phone interview. What are my options?

Hey guys. Looking for advice about a strange situation that occurred recently. Basically, I had a phone interview scheduled with a bank for an analyst position. The person who reached out to me works in HR in a different city, and was my only point of contact. I submitted my application, and she reached out saying that the team would like to have a conference call style interview. She gave me the phone number as well as the code I need to enter in order to join the conference call. 5 minutes before the interview, I called in and entered the code, but the automated machine kept saying the code was wrong. I tried maybe 10 times, hoping that maybe the call wasn't set up yet, or maybe I was entering it wrong (I wasn't), but eventually realized that the HR lady made a typo in the email.

At this point it was about 10 minutes after the interview time, and I was freaking out. The HR lady was in a different time zone and had obviously gone home for the day, as she wasn't picking up her phone. I only had the names of the people I was interviewing with, and had no way to contact them. After frantically searching on Google, I found a phone number of a VP that worked in the same department, and gave him a call. He picked up, I explained my situation, and he gave me the correct code, but it was 20 minutes after the interview time so obviously nobody would be on the call. He said he would pass along what happened to the people I was supposed to talk with after taking down my phone number and email.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience? I honestly have no idea what to do at this point other than waiting and hoping they contact me back to reschedule. Also, in case this ever happens again in the future, does anybody have any advice on what I should do in the moment?
