HR voicemail to call back - can't reach them
Hi friends,
Yesterday HR left me a voicemail regarding the position I had a superday with a few weeks back. At the time of the call I was taking an exam so I wasn't able to answer the call. The voicemail said to call them back as soon as I heard the voicemail and I had the chance to hear the voicemail an hour and a half after they made the call and I called them back. The number they gave me to call them back went straight to voicemail and I tried again a few more times and it goes straight to voicemail again (I didn't leave messages these times since it was around 5pm). I figure I'll call in the morning and try again and this morning I did and it went straight to voicemail again and this time I left them a message.
With this I was wondering what should I do if I don't hear back any time this week: e-mail the recruiter or just wait it out?
Call the companies main phone number and ask for the general hr number or recruiters contact. Work your way from there.
HR Recruiter Not Resonding after Voicemail (Originally Posted: 05/22/2014)
On Tuesday I received a call from someone from HR where I applied for a position. I was unable to answer the call but he left a message to call him back and wanted to discuss my background and interest in the position (phone interview).
I called him back about an hour and a half later when I got home and he didn't answer so I left a message. On Wednesday still no response and I called him again and left a message. Now today is Thursday and not sure if I should call him again or maybe wait until Monday to follow up again. I do not have his email and have not had any luck finding it either.
What would you guys consider doing at this point?
I'd call him Friday. He'll likely be off on Monday.
He'll receive your message. I wouldn't keep calling everyday.
He's just busy, you left a message & he will call you back. If he doesn't within a week or so reach out again.
Wait until after the holiday.
look him up on FB and go to his house
Recruiter called from BlackRock but can't get in touch (Originally Posted: 10/15/2012)
I applied for an Analyst position at BlackRock, Recruiter called, I missed the call, and ever since I've tried calling him back but it keeps going to voicemail.
I've been trying for the past 2 weeks now. What do I do? How do I get in touch with him?
Thanks Monkeys!
Call the front desk at 9am and ask them to transfer you.
Nice. Should I also email him?
Call front desk, ask to get transferred. Try it once or twice and then send a follow-up email if no luck.
Nice one. I called him last week and I'll wait until midweek to call the front desk.
Should I keep calling this recruiter back? (Originally Posted: 05/28/2015)
I received a phone call from an in-house recruiter at a BB for a middle office software developer position. I left a voicemail and didn't hear back from him for a couple of business days. Then I called him and he said that he likes my background and wants to set me up for a phone interview with the hiring manager and will get back to me. It's been 2 more business days and he still hasn't called back. TBH, I was kind of nervous on the phone and may have hung up on him accidentally at the end of the phone screening before he said goodbye. The job description says "confident nature, willing & able to work on trading floor type of seating layout". I am generally confident and have good social skills (not a typical geek) but screwed up because I really want the job.
I don't not sure how the financial industry works. Should I call him again because maybe he has actually forgotten and just hasn't had time to contact me or should I let it go and assume that they've disqualified me for some reason that they can't disclose, like, "we think you're not confident enough/lack the social skills to sit on the trading floor"?
Try again on Monday?
