HSBC Paris Graduate Programme Strategic Transactions Group

Hi Monkeys,

Does anyone have some insights into HSBC's Graduate Programme in Paris regarding market presence, deal flow, exit opps etc.?

It's a 2-year programme with 4 rotations in the Strategic Transactions Group: M&A, LAF (Leveraged and Acquisition Finance), ECM and DCM.

If you had an offer for the Graduate Programme at HSBC in Paris and an offer for an off-cycle internship at a Bulge Bracket in London, let's say CS (conversion rate: 15-25%), what would you take ? Considering a lot of factors including the risk of not being hired after the internship in London, Brexit, reputation etc.

I know that HSBC is ultimately a lending bank with an IB arm, and that its reputation is not that good in recent years, especially in M&A, but maybe their strategy will pay off...

Help is much appreciated.
Cheers
