Hybrids Structuring/Trading-- Asset class?
how is Hybrids classified when it comes to asset classes? Since hybrids, by definition, are 2 or more asset classes combined- how are they classified within s&t departments?
i understand that some banks have multi-asset desks, and hybrids would come under that umbrella. but then some other banks have hybrids & exotics classified together.
confusing me because many hybrid products combine Fixed income, currencies, commodities and equities... and then other things like real estate, etc- so that leaves me wondering what asset class do hybrids come under?
thanks
