i-banking training for entry-level, breaking into industry
I'm a recent college grad and I'm looking to break into ibanking. I dont have any ibanking internships with a major firm. I've been reading up on two programs, wall st. training and training the street. Does anyone know anything about these programs and how useful they are for someone in my position? The courses are pretty expensive but if they are reputable and they can get me i assume it's worth it. also, would it be advantageous to take the CFA exams? I plan to get my MBA in a couple years after i get some experience but i'm having trouble landing that first job. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
You probably won't be able to land a job in ibd until after you complete your MBA. Search the forums, CFA has nothing to do with a sell-side position, it is much more relevant in the buyside world, being a portfolio manager. It is very difficult to land a job with a BB out of undergrad without an internship. They generally give internships to rising seniors. Hope this helps.
