I don't want to pursue banking any more. How do I get a job at FAANG?

First off, I know this is a finance forum, but I know there are people here with a diverse range of backgrounds who may have pivoted to tech roles.

I'm currently a first year at a target school, and like some people, I'm starting to reconsider if I want to go into banking, especially after seeing what's happened during the pandemic. The SWE/Product roles at tech companies are looking more interesting to me right now. Does anyone know how I could land these roles at well known tech companies? How would I go about landing "stepping stone" internships for my resume? Is there some networking involved? What resources should I use to prepare?

Thanks for the help.
