I got an offer for ER at a MM. Can I negotiate the salary?
I was told 95 base + 25-35 bonus. Can I counter by asking for 115 + 25 guaranteed bonus?

In my experience with firms are quite sceptical of giving you a higher base than the standard for your rank if you’re a junior (as it would piss off the rest of the class if they found out since it’s supposed to be standardised); I’ve never tried negotiating for a ‘guaranteed’ year end bonus but I imagine they’ll nix that as they want to be able to ding you if you turn out to be a dud.
What I would suggest instead is try to negotiate for a higher rank, so for ex ask to come in at AN 3 instead of 2 and get the higher base that comes with that — just be aware this depends how much they want you and how easily they could find someone else.

What’s your current firm’s timeline for associate? If you graduated may 2018 it should be already/soon no? If so shouldn’t be a problem to ask your new form to honour your current timeline and give you the resulting raise when it happens.
My firm does associate > VP > MD

Are you sure they don’t have an extra rank? That’d be quite strange to only have 3.
But in any case your ‘associate’ just corresponds to analyst at the new firm; your probably about where you’d already be getting promoted to ‘associate’ at the other firm so ask them what the timeline would be for you there and how long it usually takes people.
I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to negotiate the bonus, but if I were them I would ask that if you are confident in doing well, why wouldn’t you think we will be so impressed we will give you the high end of the range.
