You spelled "boutique" wrong.

Change the format to the M&I or WSO template.

BBA in Financial Services? What is that?

Delete relevant coursework if you're a finance major.

Put some more detailed points on your PE experience with more concrete numbers.

Elaborate more on your newer internships/experiences and delete the older ones.

You need to put more relatable activities and "cooler" interests. I doubt you're going to connect with any bankers over adult ballot and writing prose.

Best Response

1) Too much white space. adjust your margins or increase the font to fix 2) Change to the M&I template. It's just an ingrained standard that all of the banks are accustomed to at this point, so don't want to deviate from that 3) More quantifiable stats: you are obviously an eloquent writer, but bankers are looking for people who will add value to their firm (dont really know how me editing a pitchbook at 4:16 am in the morning, which didn't need to be done before next week, was value added, but whatever). Talk about you improved a process, saved the firm money, or helped lead a particular function. This will show that you are intelligent and capable of doing the job 4) Hobbies: nothing against prose, as I always enjoyed writing papers and taking liberal arts classes throughout my first two years of undergrad, but the perception of that will be "if i shoot the shit with him, will be spit back Kant?" Obviously, don't be something that you're not, but I'm sure that there are things that you like that are considered "banker approved". Do you play sports? Travel? Game Hunting? Fishing? Cooking? European Mud Wrestling? Skydiving? Be creative here

Overall, I think that if you really wanted to have a good revamp, I think Patrick's resume review service would do you well. Pay upfront, and have one less thing to worry about. I'm not sure how much Patrick's charging for it now (i think 200, but there may be a discount), but that's definitely worth it when it comes to the end product. Keep us posted.

There's a closer meaning to my user name. Try reading it quickly. Perhaps you will then understand ;P
