I need some advice on what to ask and wear

On Friday I have an appointment to speak with a person that used to be in the investment banking section of a large bank. He still knows many employees at this bank and could be a way in through networking.
- I would like some advice on good pertinent questions to pick his brain with?
Obviously I will do some research on the company and have something relevant to talk about in that area.
- What do you suggest to wear to a Q & A session with a possible future employer?
I thought I'd model my attire off what I had seen him wear in the past but I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks

I'd go one step my formal than what he usually wears - eg if he is in slacks and a button down, wear a suit or sport coat, if he is in shorts go business casual. You want to convey that the interaction is important to you and you are taking it seriously

If it is informal, like coffee go business casual with khakis and a long sleeve button down shirt, maybe even a polo if it is really hot where you live (better to look slightly less casual than extremely more sweaty).

If it is formal, add a blazer or wear dress slacks instead of khakis.

If they tell you you should dress business formal, wear a suit / tie.
