I Squared Capital
Anyone have any insight on I Squared Capital? I know that they're located in Miami and they're an emerging markets infrastructure PE firm, but that's about it. Any details out there about them? Much appreciated if anyone knows.

Why would you want to work for negative 1? Unless you like having low expectations?
What is negative 1?
He's making a shitty joke that the letter I looks like 1 and that both -1 and +1 squared ends up being 1

They were founded in 2011 by senior bankers in Morgan Stanley Infrastructure and have been operating in the infrastructure space ever since. They currently have over $14 billion in AUM and are fundraising for their third global infrastructure fund which is aiming for a $12 billion close. They have abut 150 investment professionals, 6 global offices, 26 portfolio companies in 44 countries (They invest everywhere, not only in developed markets like America and Europe, but also emerging/growth markets like China, Latin America, and India). Their Fund I ($3 billion close) and Fund II ($7 billion close) performances have been quite solid, with 22% IRR and 17% IRR respectively. They are rapidly growing and a great place to be if you are passionated about infra PE.
Any knowledge of compensation and/or culture / hours?
bump
Well respected, would put them beneath the mammoths (GIP/MIRA) but think they're on par with guys like EQT, ECP, MSIP, Stonepeak, etc
Extremely well respected. Founded by MSIP industry veterans. They're not only EM focused as they have a global mandate. They only recently moved to Miami from NYC. Have a strong presence in London too. Also heard that they have a very solid team in India.
Any info on culture, hours, and pay?
Bump, interested in culture/hours/pay too
Usual hardo mega (infra) fund dynamics. Good comp bad hours.
Following
Good fund and performance. Invests mostly in infra but also does PE like investments yet with very very predictable cash flows (i.e. long dated contracts but not consumer/healthcare/tech investments). Someone in my team is working on a deal with them and says it’s a good fund.
likely hard for someone completely out of the infrastructure/transport/industrials space to get.
culture is quite good and been growing rapidly.
EDIT: this is for Europe but heard that people can move around offices easily after 1-2 years.
good fund for sure with global presence.. but people there seem super super super super rigid (working at a fund as LP)
Any words on hours/lifestyle/culture?
Super sweaty hours. People are extremely technical and hardo but also very broey. Among the best places to be in infra. Miami life as well.
What do super sweaty hours look like? Are we talking like 100+ hours every single week or closer to like 70 to 80 hours a week, every single week?
Anyone have any data points on comp? Do they pay like GIP or MF Infra groups or are they a notch or two below?
