We did our 2 years of IBD and now must move on to bigger and better things in live. 4 of us survived and excelled because we had a great group of roommates that hung out and partied together in the City. Now we must hand this trophy off to the next generation of hungry analysts to take over this entire apartment unit.
We have a 4 bedroom / 1 bathroom flexed apartment available June 1st with no fee. Apartment is on the fourth floor in an elevator building on 13th and 3rd avenue. It is 1 block away from Union Square and the 4/5/6/N/R/Q. Rent is $5,500 per month with a 1 year lease (first month's rent plus 1.5 month security deposit. We signed a 2 year lease last year, but current roommates are leaving for various reasons (join a start-up, business school, etc.). We lived in this spot for 3 years.
JUNE 1st MOVE IN
1 Master bedroom, 2 regular size rooms and a smaller room that all can fit a queen size bed and other furniture. 2 of the rooms have closets and 2 of them have a brick wall. Willing to give the current standalone closet on the smaller room.
There is a smaller living room and a full size kitchen with a new refrigerator, washer and stove. Hardwood floors throughout the unit and a closet as well as plenty of storage. Water and gas is included in the rent.
Great apartment for 4 new investment banking analyst (as we were and partied/pre-gamed together on the weekends). Close to Penny Farthing, bars and restaurants. It is a great location.

Wow NYC is ridiculous. I live in a bigger 4bd than that for less than half the rent in Chicago.
Standard/cost of living in NYC is just hilarious.
1200 sq ft. 2BR 2BA luxury apartment fully furnished with 2 reserved garage parking spots for $1300/month in a great area of Baltimore... all to myself. Good luck trying to find that for under $10,000/month in Manhattan.
I'll pay 1mm a month as long as I don't have to live in Baltimore.

I always knew Manhattan prices are insane for small spaces. No offense but damn, for $5500/month that place looks like crap. Is it still $5,500 if only 1 person rents it per se? I hope its only $5,500 because you got 4 guys but ~$1,300/month for starter apt. in Manhattan isn't bad in itself.
I can't help but wondering how much better my college place was for less than 1/3 of that per month.
Manhattan is great for wealth creation... if you're already wealthy. Otherwise, you're just devoting substantial resources to helping the wealthy become even wealthier.
Now some might make it there for sure, but most won't.
Guys - if you have never lived in NYC and paid rent here then, with due respect, shut the fuck up. Don't compare this to your mansion in Baltimore or boon fuck Ohio. Yes, at the same price I could live in an 4,000 sq ft mansion in Scottsdale Arizona with a landscaper that comes every week to rake my rock landscaping. Its NYC and in a great location with close proxomity to restaurants and the best bars in the villages. Also close to Union Square and transportation to midtown and downtown. Few EV buildings with an elevator. You get what you pay for. I know buddies near by that pay $1,200 per month and their rooms are half the size (in the same area). Again, its NYC, its a market in itself. Ask any resident or realtor.

Seriously...that's an awesome location and the apt at $1375 a person is a great deal. Those of you who have never rented or worked in NYC seriously do need to shut up about these other places...no one cares.
Most of those people who are talking about other places have lived, grew up, rented, or worked around NYC at some point.

That said, this apartment really sucks. Then again, my shithole studio isn't much better. I really wish there was civilization in New Hampshire.
A. No they have not...are you aware of the demographics of this site...median user is maybe 20? What a ridiculous comment...and even if they "Grew up" or "Worked around" NYC that does not mean they have shopped around the rental market. B. You must know me so well, I am actually from the Midwest and prefer Chicago. For that price in that location in New York City I think you are getting a lot. That is a great location and the place, while bare bones, is a good value. If you'd like to directly refute me then go ahead.
