IB Analyst Recruiting for PE Analyst Roles?
Is this even an option? Given I’m in a coverage group that’s more light technically, I feel like I may be better off aiming “down” in seniority rather than gunning for assoc positions. Has anyone done this and can offer any thoughts?
From what I've seen, the MF PE analyst programs (BX, KKR, SLP, WP) recruit those who are currently undergrads. Not sure about UMM/MM firms
Vista and Blackstone have taken analysts that came out of financial development programs and pwc tas from my school this is definitely possible.
For the BCP fund?
Yes one of the guys did two years at a banks development program and went to Blackstone corporate pe. The other from PWC I’m not sure about but he has private equity on his linkedin.
