IB Internship -> Product Management?
Hello,
I am currently interning at a MM and will receive a FT offer but don't think I will take it as I have realized the kind of experience I will get in IB is not quite what I am looking for, as I want to be closer to the driver's seat in roles closer to execution such as product management even if it means less money/options in finance in the future (I have realized I really don't need that much money to be happy, plus the big bucks can be made in many different ways). One family friend was PM at a F500 telecom for many years and reiterated it's great experience. Think it would really help me learn to become a better entrepreneur as well as in the future I would like to pursue that.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing this before, and what advice you would recommend. I am sure FANG is tough on recruiting so I'm really keeping my options open.
Thanks!
Hey monkey2121, what a lonely thread. I'm here since nobody responded ...so maybe one of these discussions will help:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
