IB or Consulting Recruiting
Hi,
I am a junior who previously worked at a top BB in a competitive groups that has strong exits (MF, top MM etc) and am from a top-target school (5-years of school to complete extra degree). I ended up leaving that group and decided to go an alternative way. Basically, for various reasons, I am now looking for an internship. I am considering recruiting full-time consulting or even going back to IB next year (at different bank). I am considering working at a search fund this summer or corporate strategy. The search fund seems interesting and would give hands-on experience for direct investing. I also like the entrepreneurial nature of it and the potential to have genuine responsibility. Thoughts on doing a search fund junior summer after working at top BB for impact on full-time recruiting? Alternatives would be corporate job or research job with professors. Thank you for all advice.
You'll definitely have to think about how the market is going to look for IB and consulting FT recruiting in the fall given the pandemic and probable recession. Anyone else have thoughts on how recruiting for each of these industries will look like?
