IB Pay Bump - How does that affect RE folks?

Words on the street is that IB is bumping pay for their analyst/associates. I'm hearing 175 base for associates (was ~150 before) straight out of MBA at some of the BB banks. At some of the larger REPE firms, you may actually be able to match the 150 base, I've never seen 175 for some fresh gradschool people at associate level.

Anyone hearing this type of pay increase coming into our industry? How will that affect people who joined before the pay increase?

Fucked up that the RE industry is so segmented with no publicly available info when it comes to pay.

Not heard anything and not expecting anything. Although hours are longer and work is tougher due to WFH, it's still nowhere near banking hours.

Working at one of the big institutional developers for reference.
