IB Prospect Groupchat - Open to All

I was hoping to basically connect any IB prospects interested in exchanging info into one big group chat. We could do interview prep, go over technical problems, exchange info on potential internship opps in our respective areas, and exchange networking tactics and contacts. The goal is to maximize everyone's chances into breaking into IBD. Your school/year doesn't matter since everyone can provide helpful insight into the process. PM me if interested and tell me which platform would be of your preference (Skype/Zoom is preferable from my part but it's up to you guys.)

My bad man, when I read this I thought you were trying to throw shade at OP. I was about to say "you literally posted a month ago and said you were in high school".

You don't want to waste your HS years worrying about doing everything you need to for IB. I officially decided to do banking in February (I'm a sophomore) and I've had 9 first rounds + 3 superdays so far - none of them through OCR. I'm only at a semitarget with a ~3.8 (top 50 school, maybe you've heard of it, probably not). Recruiting is not as crazy as everyone on this website makes it sound, you'll be ok if you just start exploring finance now and then hit it hard when you get to freshman year.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go out, be a kid, enjoy life, then do everything you can to get into a target school (because no matter what you decide to do - IB or not - these schools open doors). When you get to freshman year, hit the ground running and start studying for interviews, then network after your first semester and try to land a sophomore BB internship. Don't start spending 100+ hours/week and ruining your teenage years to get into a job where you'll almost definitely hate working 100+ hours/week. Also, don't give out your number to a bunch of people who might be in college and currently recruiting (who will almost definitely be rude because they're jealous you're starting this early), but also might be 50+ year old men looking for aspiring high schoolers, because this is the internet.

Sorry that's just my unsolicited 2 cents. Take it from someone who has been stressed out this whole cycle - I wouldn't trade my teenage experiences for anything in this world, even a 4.0 at Wharton + a straight shot to GS TMT.

Dude, you realize you're going into the world of business where professionalism is key and camaraderie is even more important? You sound like that kid already who knows everything about IB and is so much of a nerd and addicted to IB that you don't end up getting an offer cuz you are a hardo beyond even words. Focus on getting into the best school first and things will be a LOT easier. Imagine barely being asked any technical or challenging questions in interviews and starting off with people impressed when you have Harvard, Wharton or Stanford on your resume rather than Joman Respethi State University.

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.
