I like his true liberal fashion...

"Kinda makes me glad my college is considered to be the most diverse campus in the country."

I wonder if any of his friends are of color? I mean you would think so if he was so glad that he went to a "diverse" campus (I'm presuming he's talking about race when he says "diverse") but he probably doesn't.

i wasn't serious with that line..duh

Is that why you hate yourself?

yes I hate myself because majority of my friends aren't white.

p.s. that was sarcasm, for those of you who have trouble with it

The whole raising children thing, it is 50/50...provided 1 person isn't pulling the whole weight. Let me get this straight, you want a guy to go put in a whole day's work, and then come home and clean, wash dishes, cook, go to the recital etc? If you don't work, the majority of taking care of the house should fall on your shoulders. And that whole hurting thing is a bunch of bullshit, if you don't pass out, then you aren't hurting as hard as you think. And guys do have similiar experiences, passing kidney stones is supposed to be similiar to child birth(pain wise), and having passed one about 2 years ago, it really doesn't kill you, a little bit pain which you are usually drugged up for anyway.

As far as not all women are bad...yes that may be true, but its like trying to find a needle in a haystack...at some point you stop trying, and just let it come to you.

As far as men being cheaters and rapists. Lets look at each. Cheating...when a man cheats almost always he cheats because he isn't getting ass at home, what do you expect us to be celibate? After 2 years or so the woman's sex drive fizzles. My friend's friend had this thing happen on his honeymoon. When he got back from it, the wife told him, from now on we'll have a lot less sex since I dont feel like it. Now what do you suggest he do? As far as women cheating, they never admit fault...they ALWAYS blame the guy, "oh he didn't shower me with love, oh he didn't buy me that convertible, oh his dick wasn't big enough" etc.

And that whole rape thing is always blown out of the proportion...once again by women who can't take responsibility for their actions. "I got wasted, I fucked, case closed"...no instead its "He raped me" because they don't want to look like whores to their friends. I'm not saying there aren't cases of rape, but there are waaay too many cases of where the woman doesn't want to admit her mistakes.

Thanks to the revival of an old comment, Id have to say one of Asp's more enjoyable quotes was when he was curious if one of Adam Sandler's movies changed my life. "He called the shit poop!"

Hey Aspmonkey, werent you trying to get a job in I-Banking. Seems like you spend all your time just pathetically hanging out on this site being bullied and made fun of.

What a life....and future!

to tell the truth I'm not that eager anymore to get in at the analyst level, my priorities changed a little bit. Don't get me wrong, if I get a chance I'll go into IB, but at this level, I've done everything I'm willing to do, so just gotta sit back and wait for interviews if any.

Why I hang around here? Because I have a thick shell, and I really don't care what you guys think of me...+ its fun seeing how an innocent remark can send an "established professional"[and I use that term loosely] flying off his handle. + it gets me ready for the type of people I'll be working with, who think they are entitled to something just because of their school.

I mean look at this site, EVERYONE knows my name. And there is no such thing as bad publicity.

And if I couldn't take an insult or verbal abuse, I wouldn't want to be in the business in the first place, because I would either be in the corner crying the first time a higher up yelled at me or getting escorted out of the building after breaking someone's nose.

You'll like that loser who keeps trying to hang out with the popular kids. They keep making fun of you and you keep thinking they like you cause they aknowledge your existance.

Reality check loser, nobody here likes you, we respond out of humor for your idiotic naivity. You've been on this site long enough to know better and you are still as stupid and ignorant.

Aspiringmonkey might not be in banking, but neither are most other posters on this board. I actually find his posts to be more value-adding than most other "contributions" on here. (Just take a look at this frivilous thread topic for example.)

Stop pulling ad-hominems (look this up in the dictionary) on people on the internet, otherwise you won't graduate from high school and mobilize out of your double-wide!

buyside are you going to tell me with a straight face that people in banking are the "cool" kids? PUHLEASE, people who go into banking are usually nerds, they may not be total social outcasts, but its pretty hard to be the life of the party and go out 24/7 AND still hold up your GPA at IB level.

you don't like me? OH NOEZ time to slit my wrists..how does that rhyme goes, up the river, not across it? or something along those lines. Please, I could care less, what you or anyone else thinks of me. Could I rip you a new asshole(not that way dude, you wish), if I wanted to? Of course, will I? No because I don't want to get into a bickering match. So run your mouth all you want.

p.s. buyside, it's "you're" not "you'll"

yeah part time, it seems that when I make a post, 10 people jump down my throat because I said 3.5 instead of a 3.6.

Look aspmonkey I never said the IBers were the cool kids. Its a freaking ANALOGY, and if you had gotten above a 600 on your verbal SAT and not gone to a community college out of HS you would know about them.

didn't mean for this to be such a bash session. i just thought aspiringmonkey had made some classic comments when giving advice. this thread wasn't intended to be IB related dearest parttimephil, as the subject line would allude. i truly believe iboasis would be a little boring if we didn't have aspiringmonkey's off the wall advice. coolio?

no I didn't get 600 on the SAT, because when I took the SATs I was still a recent immigrant who didn't have the english vocabulary to do that good on the SATs. I was also pretty lazy. And no I don't go to a community college(which really you should know by now)

yeah rd it would be, especially now that the whole "Gotta find out info about IB before applying, so what are the the BB firms?," died down.

I need to say that it was extremely rude of Wasting time to say that, but if you believe you are above him you should just ignore his childish comments.

I need to disagree with you on your last post. You did not earn your green card or citizenship, you received it as dependent of your parents. They might have earned it, but you didn't. And don't make me cite INS because I can.

These are neither childish comments or a joke. This is pure hate and internet bullying.

As ibankingoasis has invited firms and recruiters to post intern/job openings on this board in a new project they are developing--I decided to take a look at the threads to see for our group what quality of potential recruits post here.

I am disgusted by personas such as "wasting time". His previous comments understate that this was not a one off. His posts about his home country of South Africa were just a beginning.

This is not the type of attitude ANY bank or credible firm would put up with. I strongly suggest that the mods/admin review these uncalled for and possible liable posts. This does not reflect well at all. It is offensive.

What recruiters want to waste their time and money looking at applications from such schmucks?

ignoring doesn't seem to work with you people, seems like it just fuels your efforts.

and as far as my parents getting me the citizenship that is not the case, my parents got the green card, but I got the citizenship on my own because I was 18 at the time of eligibility, so I had to take the test and go thru the process on my own, instead of just signing on the dotted line, like it was for my sister

I'll been lurking these boards for a few weeks. Racist or not, Wasting Time is not much better than aspiringmonkey.

Just like the latter, Wasting 'assumes' he will be able to land a top-tier MBA and get in as an Associate. Yet he gets a D in intro accounting and whines about it on this forum like a 12 year old.

Please tell me how the stuff that I do puts me on the same level as a racist? I genuinely would like to know.

oh and I would like to know Still's credentials, since he's been too much of a coward to fill out the info

I'm Canadian (flame on, Wasting), started 3rd year majoring in Accounting and Finance, considering the CA route and also Finance jobs.

But my 'credentials' are ultimately irrelevant.

I don't go around this forum giving advice, bragging about my 'life experiences' or assuming I will land a job as an Associate with a good MBA when I haven't had an I-banking interview...unlike you.

Oh, so you need an I-banking interview to get into a good MBA program? What are you retarded? Does it look like I have an interest in becoming an analyst? So why the hell would I want an interview?

Yes, in fact you shouldn't give out advice at all, since we all know Canadian universities = American community colleges at best.

off side comment, completely untrue, and a display of you worldly degree that transposes due to peripheral vision. this thread has become unbelievably off topic, and carry no likeness to the ideology of the website. I understand it

of course you don't go around the forum giving advice, you just joined 1 week ago. You have 5 posts, and 3 of them are in this thread(see how easy it is to get a large post count?). Not that uncommon, whenever you go someplace new, you keep your mouth shut and assess the situation.

But actually, you ARE giving us advice. Telling wasting, he won't get into a good MBA, and even if he did he wouldnt' be able to land an IB gig...sounds like advice to me. What makes you an expert on that? Did you do any research on the subject?

When I give advice/my opinion, its backed by things someone else told me or things I've read. Some people might disagree with the information I got, but opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and what worked for 1 might seem completely wrong to another.

Oh, and its not bragging when you are answering a question. I was asked why I thought I'd have a chance at a good MBA...and I answered. As far as my own aspirations of landing an associate position with a top MBA...it is a very good assumption, the 2 things I have going against me now, is the lack of an IB internship and me not being at target school, both of which I plan to have. If I had a target school, my GPA, my ECs, and an internship I would have had a chance to interview anywhere I wanted.

So I have 3 words for you: Pot Kettle Black. You are doing the same shit I'm doing, but with less information, less respect, and less experience(did you even take a 300 level course yet?).

There are ACTUAL bankers on this board who can give serious advice, not crap from post whores like you or flamers/crybabies.

How the hell am I giving advice? I know that I don't have any real experience, like you. I'm just calling out your overconfidence with obvious information (ie. you can't just cruise into a top tier MBA) that any idiot with a Vault guide could figure out.

oh yeah? real bankers? Hate to break it to you kid, but the # of active real bankers is much smaller than you think. You really think someone working 100 hours per week, will spend their free time posting on a message board?

And my advice is serious, my advice is the advice that was answered by those bankers that you sackride so much to the exact same question.

No you can't cruise into a top MBA, I never said that, but you really don't need to be the CEO of fortune 500 company to get in either

Please. Please. People come on to this board for valuable first-hand information. If you have not worked in IB a day or haven't had a single interview, please stay away from posting comments. No one would care and you are wasting your own time. In your situation, try to stick to this board for some valuable information that others would provide you. Please.

OMG you are soo right, I see the light now.

Bitch please.

A message board is a place of discussion, + Its not like I'm Dan Bush and lying about my status, I make it extremely clear that I'm not in IB.

P.S. I'm very interested to know how my having an interview would put more value to my posts?

You are so low-class for actually putting the "bitch" word out. No one cares if you made it clear that you have not worked in IB a day. What matters is that your perception on/knowledge about IB is not real-world tested. There's huge difference between how it should work and how it actually works. Just be patient and learn from others' posts. By the way, if you can't figure it out yourself, having an interview would at least put you in the legit position to advise others on how to tackle the questions you actually encountered. Pease.

I disagree, bitch is not a low class word...+ if you plan to go into IB and a word like that gets your panties in a bunch, you'll have a breakdown.

The "knowledge" I give out is not job-IB relevant. Do you see me chiming in in threads where people ask how to build a model? Do you see me chiming in on the details of how a deal gets sourced? Do you see me chiming in on the process of getting reimbursed for your meals?

No...but when someone asks "Which banks are consireded to be in the Bulge Bracket"...well you REALLY don't need to be in the industry to know that.

I don't need to have an interview to know what questions will be asked. I actually have a list of over 150-200 interview questions(50 or so IB specific).

Must I go thru the process to know that you'll get asked the # of golf balls in the 747 question? or the "What do you think an ibanker does?" or "How do you value a company" or 'Why did you pick your school".

And like I mentioned a thousand times before, there is the disclaimer on the bottom of each of my posts, so that someone doesn't think that I'm in IB, and follow advice w/o double checking.
