IBM Global Business Service?
So Im heading into an IBM GBS interview for an entry level managerial/strategy consulting role.
Got couple things to ask
1 How is IBM ? I know its no MBB or even the second tier guys, but in terms of respect and what you learn at work, how is it? I'm from a Canadian school, grades are soso, so yes... I will be happy with mid-level guys like IBM
2 If i land this position, I have two options of either IBM in toronto, or starting out in audit @ Deloitte in Asia( will be getting my CPA as well). Plan is to go get my MBA couple years from now and maybe hop into IB or PE.
Which one is the better option for MBA and IB down the road?
3 First round is a casual group interview, any suggestions?
Thankx alot guys!
I would take the IBM consulting position, because I think you may have an easier time getting into a good MBA program.
Also, I think doing audit may make it hard for you to switch to finance, since many people will see you as an "accountant" for the rest of your career.
Just my 2 cents though.
Why are you planning on getting both the CPA and MBA?
CPA --> public accounting (audit, tax)
MBA --> anything
CFA --> hedge funds, PE
Which industry do you want to end up in?
