Ideas for Intern Event

I happened to be the lucky intern sitting closest to the MD at the time and earned myself the task of planning/coordinating some intern events for this summer. I want to plan something where we won't hate being there but I also don't want to make my MD think "what a dumb fucking intern" when I propose it.

So naturally turning to WSO to crowdsource something that might be enjoyable and can somewhat sell as beneficial. For some background: 8 total interns, no more than two of us on a single independently operating team and around 50 people total/maybe 15 people who would be willing to speak at said events. Much appreciated, my idea of a blade to the hamptons isn't going well so far.

Go Karting.
If you're really alpha, propose a happy hour first.

I did this one time with my old group (including the alcohol) and our MD ended up breaking his ribs he got slammed so hard.

The key is (if your MD is attending), look around his office and see if there is anything he had hanging on his wall or the desk.

Chelesa piers/Top Golf is a great idea if he has pictures of him golfing, but go karting might be a better idea if he has a nascar on his desk.

another awesome event would be spy escape and evasion training

they do corporate events...is on the expensive side ($1500 per person)...but totally awesome.

also. Monticello racing track has a 300 acre off-road driving course that is $500/person for a 3 hour activity...totally awesome...2hr drive from the city

a cheaper event, but also awesome would be river rafting on the delaware, followed by paintball, in the catskills
would be a weekend event, takes all day...2hr drive from the city...but a great bonding event..lots of fun...not too expensive...except for committing an entire day

just google it...you're welcome

Monticello is one of the coolest places in the trig-state area. I've been there for a few M-Track days and nothing tops it
