If I did not have SHIT parents I would be so successful

Even if I had SHIT parents who did no harm ("first, do no harm"), I would be so successful.

INSTEAD, I had shit Asian parents who made me study to become a doctor, even though I am shit at biology and hate that subject.

So I got a shit GPA in college, even though I got a 4.0 in most all other classes.

So if I had uncaring parents, I would have majored in a subject I liked, and would have gotten a 3.8 or so.

But I had parents who actively did harm.

Plus I lived at home with my parents. I wanted to attend a better school, but they did not let me. So I had to live under their thumb, and do whatever they said.

If I went to an outside school, I could have done what I wanted.

So now I'm all fucked up, because of the low GPA. and Im stuck in a field I don't give a fuck about.

And because I'm 26, about to be 27, my life is basically messed up.

All because of my patents. I feel so sorry for myself. I got such high standardized test scores and am so smart, but all my intelligence is wasted.

I want to go to law school, but i won't be able to get into a top one b/c of my GPA. if i majored in something i liked, i would have gotten good gpa and thus go to top law school

Why don't financial firms allow for carrear change? I can learn all the new things, so why they don't hire me? Aside from bio grades--all good. And top standarized test scores. so why firms don't hire me?

Why don't firms take this into consideration? Why don't all the fucking firms just throw away application?

I am such good son, treat parents with such good respect. Mom came over other day and treated her so well.

Likely not a troll. It seems Postgradwonderer has returned.

Blaming your parents when you're 12 is ok. Not when you're 26.

The correlation between GPA and financial success is not as great as one might think. There are many ways to demonstrate value that cannot be encapsulated by a number.

Many non-targets succeed. School attended should not be an excuse.

Feeling sorry for yourself is not productive.

I believe direction is the key here. Once a direction is established (i.e. intellectual property attorney), a path forward can be determined (LSAT, additional GPA boosting classes at local state university, MS in Biology since many firms like IP attorneys with grad degrees, etc...). And yes, lots of networking at every step.

A good LSAT can't make up for a shitty GPA. You can't get into a T10, maybe not even a T20. Transferring to Harvard is a nonsensical fantasy at this point. Harvard rejects people with 175 LSATs and 4.0s. You need to be realistic.

You sound miserable. Read self-help books, explore a new religion, visit a BDSM sex dungeon, see a therapist, you should literally do anything besides wallowing in self-pity and comparing yourself to others.

Came here to post this. The tell-tale sign is not responding directly to anybody's post, as if talking right past them. It would be so goldstein to create an alt account with a different persona to keep trolling.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I want to believe that this was a troll post... I really do. Okay listen here JoblessJoe. You're jobless because of your fucking attitude, lack of drive, and motivation. You say you want to do all of these things but you haven't done shit to reach your goals. You think you were dealt a bad hand? Okay here's my story you fucking twat.

Both of my parents are immigrants. Never went to college I went to public school. K-12. They were nice schools but nothing special. I currently go to a non-target school in a very 'meh' city. I grew up lower middle class I'm a minority

But i still manage to score multiple internships. First internship: top 3 CRE brokerage company Second internship: top 3 CRE brokerage company Third internship: PERE firm with 500MM AUM

How did i do this? You work your ass off. Ask for unpaid internships and you start chugging energy drinks as you work through the night.

Now...... Shut.the.fuck.up. And do not complain about your parents. They fucking raised you. Start taking responsibility for your own actions. I saw that you mentioned you got dinged because lack of relevant experience. So start getting some experience under your belt. Want get more into the finance world? Getting a CFA would help.
