If not London, where? City relocation scenario
Picking up on the Wall Street to Miami theme, where would you relocate the City to? A bit odd how no one in Europe is talking about this. I'd gladly leave the UK

I like Vienna. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
Canary Wharf
Where is it?
Center of the Universe.
Open a blank spreadsheet, stare at it for a while - then close your eyes. You'll see canary wharf.

Key newspapers had this topic in the last weeks, most are mentioning Frankfurt, Zürich, Amsterdam and Dublin.
example

Dublin isn't ugly but has an even shittier weather than London and significantly so. It's also too small, tech went there first, there's a massive shortage of housing to the point that it's the key topic in elections.
Frankurt and Zurich are boring as fuck. Easy to live in cities, but seriously dull. Amsterdam is lovely but also suffers from the same overpopulation issue as Dublin
I agree with everything you said!
But those are the valid options where some bankers might have to move due to Brexit, we don't even know how many have to/will move anyway.
I forgot to mention Paris for the lower tier banks and the people who have no problem living in a French speaking country.
Moving to Dublin will confuse the shit out of Americans who will think it's still in UK and they use Pound Sterling there too:
Christ, what an idiot...
Venice would be amazing but there’s 0% chance of it ever happening
Yes. Waaaaaaay too small.
Are you for real? It’s a shit hole
you better hope it isnt frankfurt. ugly ass boring city
Palma de Mallorca
What about Europeans still trying to make the move to London ib?
Worth it or too dangerous due to brexit?
After corona you could fly in for interviews, then ask for some form of sponsorship or go the skilled professional route. either way, you'd need a visa. there is still the possibility to get offers, but nobody has any clue (as of now) how financial services will be regulated post-Brexit.
Valencia
Madrid for sure. Really good weather, nightlife, beautiful city, lots of things to do, low taxes...
