There's a code in the MGMAT books that you enter into the MGMAT website. It associates that code with the account that you make, and then you get access to the tests through that.

Hi, Eric Stratton, rush chairman, damn glad to meet you.

Yes you can but the problem is that the CAT's are pure crap. Don't get me wrong - the books themselves are the best prep you'll get, but if you take the CATS, you'll never score above 700 consistently because it's three times harder than the real thing.

Use the books to brush up on basics, do all the problems in the books, and combine those with the OG's. Then take GMATPrep. Don't worry too much about the MGMAT CAT's.

That makes me feel somewhat better, my score was abismal on the two Manhattan CAT's that I have taken...

When you say GMATPrep, you just mean the free tests when you register for the GMAT on mba.com?

So where do you get your CAT's to practice on?

Also, I bought the $99 package from BeatTheGMAT. Worth the money in my opinion. Comes with 400+ Math and 300+ Verbal questions ranging from Below 400 to 700+ questions and video explanations after every question as well as comparative table to see how you stack up against other users. That last feature is weird though because my stats say that everyone else scores around 50% of the questions right... Either way its a great way to sharpen your timing skills with the included timer and to put what you learn to a test. You can also customize sessions and it's adaptive. Seems like a fair price for what you get if you have no more material to practice on.

If you buy a used book on Amazon the book will have a code, but its more than likely expired.

If you buy a new book on Amazon the book will have a code, and once you activate it, I believe its good for 12 months
