If your school is a target for a specific bank, who screens your resume first?

I’m just wondering how the process works. When you apply, does your resume get piled in with other students from your school then sent to your school’s recruiting team? Does HR see it first?

at my school (target/2nd tier target - think wash u, emory, Vanderbilt) we submit our applications on handshake and then they select 10-20 candidates for on campus interviews. they release a sign up block and Interviews happen in the career center. if they have any open spots they have a waitlist kind of thing (just like college - you get accepted, waitlisted (called “alternates”) or rejected) for the alternates. sometimes they don’t fill the spot and they come back again for another round of on campus recruiting. it’s usually consists of an alumni and a MD
