My mom is 82 but thinks she is a lot younger (dementia).

Jules: I'm just going to walk the Earth.
Vincent: What'chou mean, "walk the Earth"?
Jules: You know, like Caine in Kung Fu: walk from place to place, meet people, get into adventures.
Vincent: And how long do you intend to walk the earth?
Jules: Until God puts me where he wants me to be.
Vincent: And what if he don't do that?
Jules: If it takes forever, then I'll walk forever.

You can always live to the fullest and die young.

Nahhhh it's possible to enjoy the hell out of your life til you turn 100.

My great-grandma passed away when she was 99 and boy did she enjoy her life til the very end.

Her son, my grandfather is in his mid 80s and his life is awesome. He pulls six figures working 30 hours a week, buys a new Mercedes every other year, goes to baseball games, and eats pretty much all he wants. Add watching conservative news channels and laughing his ass off making fun of liberal "commie bastards" and the man is the happiest person I've ever known. Man I'm jealous.

Only until 100? nah brah I'll be doing stuff a solid 15 years after that.

Aging is such a disease holy fuck, are humans even supposed to live past 30-40? Thank you modern medicine /s

What if at some time age we live to be AI creatures for 250 years...

Nah this is a myth. Life expectancy used to be 30-40 because people either died really young or lived long enough til they reached 80s-90s.

Modern medicine decreased the number of people dying young so life expectancy rose. But at the same time modern diet became so shitty that people started dying younger than they would've if they ate healthier. So life expectancy is around 70s.

In countries that eat healthy, life expectancy is like in the 80s (ie. Japan).

Now imagine medical breakthroughs that can slow aging. I mean we already know what causes aging. We just need to figure out how to reverse it.

If there aren't enough hearts to be donated and your heart is about to fail, why wouldn't you?

If you have a choice btw living a little longer vs dying right away and the only way to live is to get a pig heart, you'd probably take it.

No one lives forever, no one.

You can in the eternal kingdom called heaven if you believe in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Lol.

But with advances in modern science and my high level income, it's not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300. Hell, I just read in the newspaper that they put a pig heart in some guy from Russia. Do you know what that means?

It just means more people with heart diseases have a chance to get a heart transplant. That doesn't increase our lifespans.

The movie In Time elucidated to me that "people need to die." I don't think people are going to want to live that long. The amount of social disruption that would cause is incalculable.

Adding on to my original statement, I'm a powerball man. Once you throw in gene editing/CRISPR and the potential to live near a strong gravity well, I'll put my lifespan out further. I've got like a 40% chance of hitting at least 750, perhaps 775. I know everyone wants to go for the big 1.0k, but let's be realistic for a second: if I'm going to make it to the 30th Century then by that point I've probably already ascended the plane of space time and live in the 5th dimension.

Shake and bake. I'll see you guys in 2751.

If you're still alive by 2115, we gotta watch this for shits and giggles.

Based granpa. I would play cards with him and listen to his crazy tales. That video is from 2 years ago. I hope he's doing well.
