Imperial college London (MSc) & recruitment in London. Advice please

I know Imperial isn't the biggest name in London. I had to choose between Imperial and another university in continental Europe. I've seen the phrase "London loves London" way too much to NOT pick Imperial

I'm starting the MSc in Finance there. Everything has been ambiguous so far, which is expected given that I'm international. Regarding recruitment, I used to be an IB or bust type of person until I got a better perspective on finance careers from here. I have an internship at an investment bank, yes. But my long-term goals can also be fulfilled through different venues.

So I would like to be enlightened, sort of. After some brutal time I recently passed CFA level 2. If I set a goal for myself, which is to become a value investor in the future, where do you guys think I should go from here?

Besides IB, BB Equity Research is becoming more attractive, for example. I don't know anything about moving to the buy-side from there though, but I do know it's very difficult to get into the buy-side right away. Factoring in the fact that my internship was at a relatively nameless bank, everything is worse. What do you people think? Could Imperial get me there? (Sorry if I sound insecure; that's because I am lol)
