In an Intro Email, is it OK to put your name only at the end?
Hi everyone,
I know this is an unusual question, but I need to ask: Is it OK to put your name only at the end of an introductory email? In other words, is it OK if I don't say something like "My name is..." at the beginning?
I am asking this because in my Business Communications class, my professor told us not to say our names at the beginning since everyone just looks at your name at the end of the message. Is this generally true or would it come off as unusual if I didn't include my name at the beginning?
Thank you.
Jeez man, people aren't even going to register whether you put your name first or not. I never did.
Name at the end.
Putting "My name is..." at the beginning of your communications is like having one of those red and white name stickers stuck to your chest at some shitty conference, forgetting to take it off and walking out into the public.
