In regards to full-time 2022 recruiting...
I'm a current SA but I would like to try my hand at applying for some other firms for their FT positions in the same field I'm interning in. But the issue I see is that applications open up in 2-3 weeks (during my SA stint) and full time offers for interns are usually given out after your internship finishes.
Is it essentially a roll of the dice? Because of the timeline I'd imagine if you wanted to get into other FT programs you'd have to forfeit your return offer at your current bank to stay in the recruiting cycle. I think the odds are bad in general (70-80% of interns at the bank fill the FT spot) but I'm curious if there's a way to pull it off without risking your own end.
There's no shame in my renege game
