Incoming Analyst Linkedin
I see people put their current position on LinkedIn as "Incoming Analyst at ..." on Linkedin, as well as posting about how they accepted the offer. Few questions.Is this the way to do it? I always thought you would wait until the internship started.If you shouldn't add the job title should you still post an update? or Vise versa?If you do NOT post, will your recruiters think you do not care?I always figured just wait until later, at least on the job title. Would love to hear opinions.

Agree with the above. Incoming SA won't really do much, but with an incoming analyst title I did get messaged by a couple PE HH.
So is it recommended to put incoming analyst then?
^ If you do it, just make sure notifications are OFF so your entire network doesn't see that in their feed.
Might be a stupid question but how do I do this? Is this just general notifications or a specific type?

When you go to post it will ask you if you would like to post this to your feed and notify your network. Pretty sure you just leave the box blank.
My opinion on this is that you shouldn't put "Incoming" anywhere on your Linkedin since you don't actually have the job yet. For SA specifically it doesn't add value it's just kinda a brag, but imagine if you were an incoming Cantor SA...it's real embarrassing to have to get rid of that on your Linkedin after everybody knows and you've made a post, etc. I guess for FT it might add some value?
