Incoming LevFin analyst, too early for thinking about exits?

I'll be joining a BB LevFin group next year, and I've already began thinking about exits. Exits in the group have been pretty varied, with some going to MF PE as well as many going to credit funds for MFs and upper MMs. As of right now, I think I'm more interested in PE exits, and I was wondering if there's anything to prepare for recruiting into that space directly. I'm concerned that a LevFin background might pigeonhole me with HHs into credit funds, and I am interested in hearing your opinion on what, if anything, I should do to position myself best for 1st year recruiting (networking, classes, etc.).
