Indiana vs. Baruch vs. Boston

As far as accounting goes, I've been told Kelley is outstanding!
But location wise, NYC/east coast is better than Bloomington if you go to BC or Baruch I believe.

Kelley vs. Zicklin vs. Carroll?

how about Carlson? Does Carlson(Minnesota) have a good program as well?

One last question, comparing to MAcc program from U.Mich and UIUC, how prestigious is Kelley or more likely how well can you land on a job in Big4?

There is no word on the street or really on the street recognition for accounting (MAcc) programs as far as I know. Because most MAcc programs are used by kids to obtain those 150 credits for the all important CPA. Therefore, not a lot of kids actually change schools for it. So, IU kids do it in IU and UNC kids do it there. You see where I am going with this. Never heard of Zicklin but IU and Boston are both good schools where I bet the big 4 recruits quite a lot of kids. You should be fine at each schools. As far as I know networking isn't all that important for audit/tax practices. The firms show up at OCR, you submit resume, get interview, get the job. Pretty straight forward!

yes. sorry about the misuse the word on street recognition. what i mean by recognition was school recognition for the job market or long-term for laterally moving within career years. or once you are in Big4, laterally moving wouldn't be a problem as long as I keep up the good work? not depending on where I graduated from?

As far as Big 4 is concerned they don't care where you went to school as long you can do the job. So if you get into Big 4 from Baruch and perform at the same level the opportunities laterally in that firm would be the same for some one performs on the same level who graduated from Duke.

This is what I have been told by the people whom I know at the Big 4.
