Industry Experience
I'm trying to break into ER from a top MBA. I don't have prior ER experience but I do have about six years industry experience. One problem is that I dislike the industry and would rather work for an industry that I find interesting. Is industry experience valued that much that I should suck it up to get my foot in the door? disclaimer: I know enough about the markets, modeling, writing, etc. to not look like an ass. The other question is if I'm can break in is my broke ass going to make enough to pay my loans? Any stats on MBAs going into research.
Yes, it helps. What industry?
