Info about Newbury Partners?
Currently a college senior that's lurked on the forum for a while, and I am going through full-time recruitment after an internship at a MM IB (not one of the top ones). I applied to Newbury Partners because I thought the secondary private equity space was interesting, and was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the firm, what I can expect comp to be, and potential exit opps from a firm like this.

When it comes to secondaries, their time in the spotlight has long since come and gone. They have no real edge in the market.
Hey there, I know this is an old thread but do you have any updates thoughts on Newbury? Saw they were acquired by Bridge Investment earlier this year
Have worked with them across a couple of GP-leds and co-investments. Can't comment on any perceived "edge" but seem like a smart group and easy to work with. Team seems like they have a pretty good culture, doesnt strike me as a sweatshop
Thank you for the color here, any thoughts specifically on the senior management? Like do they seem to win deals that are within Newbury's size check size preference / are they respected within Secondaries
They’ve had that job posting on their site and out to recruiters for investment professionals associate thru VP for like 2.5 years… did first round, was told next step is modeling test they’ll call to schedule. They never called, recruiter got ghosted too
