Information on QuadReal?

I feel like I often hear about all the other pension shops (CF, Oxford, etc.) but not QuadReal.

Are they seen as not on the same caliber as these other shops?

Also anyone have any info with regards to comp at an entry level for their investments team?

QuadReal is much newer (assets spun out in 2016 from BCI), which is probably why there's less online discussion about the firm. From what I know, they're a solid group. In terms of base comp, think similar to BCI FO roles.

As said above it is newer, but they should be viewed as a top tier Canadian SWF with strong focus on US. A mentor of mine gave me a recommendation to check them out a few years ago before I took my current role. I would look at them in high regard. (no idea on pay, but I think they would be competitive to similar firms in the US, they have been poaching to build up, so they may pay premiums for exp. people, prob market for new/entry level).

I tried a few different times and got word back that for BC jobs at least, weren't really open to bringing in a US citizen for junior to mid-level roles. Not sure if that is still true.

I interned there awhile ago in Vancouver. As others have said, they're newer compared to Oxford or CF but in terms of AUM is larger than CF and on par with Oxford, all three being subsidiaries of major Canadian Pension Plans of course. Seeing as BCI is the big player in the West, QR naturally has a large presence in Western and Prairies Canada. Comps for FT are on par with these companies and probably ahead of other local developers.

Big focus for the company is the International market, so US, Asia, and Europe with branch offices in NY, London, and Singapore. A few years ago they were on a hiring craze being new and all poaching people from other companies but that's largely died down.
