Informational Interview with a director...good or bad?
I recently found the contact information of a director at a mutual funds company in my city that I would love to work with. I cold-emailed them and got an immediate response and now have an informational meeting set-up this week. I am hoping to work there as an analyst (they don't have any jobs posted at the moment). I have little experience in the field also, so am really just hoping to gain some insight. Just curious if this is usually a good sign for them offering me a position/referral? I have never done this before, so I have no idea what I am doing....
*sorry, I know this has probably been discussed a million times on here but I am not sure what exactly to search for*
Yes this is good- treat this as if it is an interview. Be sure to follow up and thank them for their time as well afterwards.
