Innovating Deal Sourcing Funnel

Hey everyone! I'm working at a corporate VC and am in the process of rehauling our entire sourcing process hahaha. Currently using Excel 365 with Power BI, and everything is so boggled down and slow and buggy it's terrible.

So basically, in my ideal world there's a form where startups can enter their basic information and upload attachments (i.e. pitch deck). On the VC side we would see all the responses to the various forms in a single view (i.e. a Google Sheet) and can respond in-line to them. The startups would see our responses, and can continually update their profile with updates as they get them. This prevents our team from (1) having to manually update so many startups each day from call notes, (2) avoid the risk of not inputting the right detail or interpretation of the startup's progress. And of course, the dealflow basics:

1) Being able to download the master database in some form (and subsegments of that database) to view independent startups vs. just aggregated summary statistics

2) Being able to have a dashboard to see deal flow by geography, startup type (via tags), last updated, etc.

I've played around with Zendesk and it seems like a very ratchet way to get some of the basic functionality. Streak could do some of the basics, but I'm not sure how to get it tied into the dashboard part. With traditional CRMs like Zoho I don't know how they can enable that two-way-communication where startups themselves could update their information.

I feel as if the answer is in some combination of Google Sheets + 4 or 5 add-ons with Zapier integrations hahaha. If there's a more end-to-end solution it would be super helpful to get some insights (currently looking at Gust, Seraf, Venture 360, ProSeeder though none of them align to my vision from a cursory glance). Or if anyone knows some of those 4-5 add ons that can achieve this I will definitely give you a SB hahaha. Currently my ghetto tech stack is Streak + Google Sheets + Google Forms.

This is why I am reaching out to the much wiser community :)
