INSEAD acceptance. Go or NoGo
Dear all
I am Far East Asian w/3y consulting experience and 1y big 4 corporate finance advisory.
I got accepted from INSEAD MBA and currently wondering whether should I attend this year or target another year.
Reason behind is that though post-MBA I am thinking of moving into BB or MM PEs in APAC region, or possibly in London, I do not possess enough pre-MBA finance experience to sell myself to employers from my target industry. Personally, I believe spending another year with current employer will equip me with better finance skillsets and "reasonable" length of experience.
However, as a candidate from over represented pool, even being older than usual candidates, I feel somehow uncertain whether I can secure another MBA admission from top schools if I withdraw the offer from INSEAD.
What would be your opinion here? Will +1 or 2 y pre-MBA experience will grant me better chance on pursuing my post-MBA careers? Or would it be too risky?
Thnx in advance.
The whole point of racking up more years of experience pre-MBA is to increase your chances of getting into an MBA. You've already done part 2 so accept and go for it. INSEAD is a great name which all banks regard highly so the switch should not be too challenging.
Grab the INSEAD acceptance. You may not get another one.
