Integrated Travel into Financial Career
Hello everyone,
I'm going to be graduating in a year with a Bachelors in Investment Analysis and Real Estate Analysis from Colorado State University. Apparently, the business school there is ranked in the top 10% but I know its not the most prestigious school. I'm trying to plan what career I want to pursue in the next year.
Is there anyone here in a job that travels frequently that is focused on the areas above? I'm going to be a single young guy and I won't have anything tying me down to a centralized area. I know consultation is a big career focused in traveling, but I'm stuck to what my degree will offer me. I was just looking for some ideas to run by my employment services office at the college to start looking into internships.

I'm looking to travel around 6+ times a year, preferably international rather than just domestic. I'm not looking for anything luxurious (i.e. first class), I just want to see the world for a little while before settling down.
Very few junior positions will warrant international travel. If you want to travel internationally a lot, you should move to a airport hub (London, NYC, etc.)
Thank you for the quick reply Isaiah. Do you know off hand if Investment Analysis/Real Estate would qualify for any consulting type of work? I heard that Alvarez and Marshal would be a good firm to look into. Like you said, "few position will warrant international travel" its been pretty difficult trying to find a few companies that will allow that out of college. I'm pretty interested in international finance, that's what kind of spurred this whole international travel job search.
Side question: Out of the major global languages that are second to English, what would be the best to become fluent in?
