Interested in different position at the same company while in interview process

So, I have already gone through an interview process for a position (I will refer to it as A) and am waiting for a response back around early next week. But, a job posting for another position (B) came up for the same company about a week ago, and tbh I am more interested in (B).

What would you do with a situation like this? I plan on letting the hiring manager know of my interest in (B) and the company itself IF I don't get an offer for (A). IF I do get an offer for (A), should I keep quiet about my interest in (B)? Would you do something different?

lmin997, pure crickets, that's where I come in. Any of these useful?
