Intern? Summer Analyst? Summer Associate?
So I'm curious what the standard title is for summer interns in Equity Research across all the banks. It seems Summer Analyst is common for S&T and IB but since it's backwards in ER and entry-level hires are Associates are some interns called Summer Associates (or is that still just for MBAs)
I know Morgan Stanley calls its ER interns Junior Summer Associates (and MBAs Summer Assocaites) but what do other BB and MM firms call it?
I feel like if you're working the same hours as an Associate and doing the same type of modeling and work that Equity Research Intern kind of downplays your role.
Would love to hear other examples and people's feedback

MS is just a special snowflake.
