IB SA --> MBB FT

I will be working in the M&A team of an EB this summer (EVR/PJT/CVP) and am looking into making a transition to MBB for FT. I understand this is fairly common but I haven't found any recent threads on this topic.

For anyone who made a similar transition in their career (either from IB SA to MBB FT or IB FT to MBB FT), could you provide some color on what your recruiting process looked like, how you got involved in the process, timeline, and relevant advice for someone trying to break in from an IB background?

There's nothing different. You're likely to get an interview since MBB consider BB/EB a prestigious employer; you'll almost certainly be asked why you want to switch (and if your answer makes half-sense, they'll be satisfied); and you'll be expected to be numerate and business-literate. Everything is the same as any other MBB recruiting process.

The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.
