Internship as a highschooler?

So upcoming I have an internship at a PE firm in China. I have read a lot about how internships are beneficial, but all of the articles I have read were in regards to College internships, and almost all of them took place within the US. My question is: will an internship as a high schooler in a foreign country be beneficial to my chances when applying for college internships? Will it be beneficial to applying for college in general? I will be appying for US colleges and, when in college, applying for US companies.

Most people understand that high school internships are glorified babysitting (I don't mean to sound belittling -- it really is great you have an internship, but nobody is going to bet the bank on the performance of a high schooler). That said, it is experience other people in your cohort likely won't have, so it is either a neutral or positive.

You probably could have come to this conclusion without even posting though. E.g. "Will additional responsibility now help me succeed later?" If you demonstrate some proficiency and effort at success, then obviously the answer is yes.
